Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 Cups Warm Water
- 1 Packet Active Dry Yeast
- 1 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 TbspMelted Butter
- 3 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Baking Soda
- 9 Cups Water
- Salt for sprinkling
- Jalapenos for topping
Direction:
- Mix the yeast and warm water and let it rest for about 1 minute.
- Mix Flour, Sugar, Salt, and Butter in a bowl.
- Add the Yeast water to that mix.
- If the dough is sticky add a little more flour. You should be able to poke the dough and it will bounce back.
- On a flat clean surface sprinkle some flour and knead the dough for around 3 minutes.
- Put the dough in a bowl and cover it with a towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- In a big pot mix baking soda and water to boil.
- Pre-Heat the oven to 400° F and line a baking sheet with Parchment Paper.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal parts.
- Roll each part to around 20-inch rope and make a pretzel shape.
- Dip each pretzel in boiling baking soda water for 20 seconds each.
- Put pretzels on the baking sheet, sprinkle salt, and put some jalapeno's on them.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
