Cutout Nutella sandwich cookie

 Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Butter, Room temp
  • 2 Cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Nutella

Direction:

  • In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar.
  • Mix egg, salt, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated
  • Add Flour and fold it in until dough forms.
  • Roll into a ball and flatten into a disc, inside a plastic wrap.
  • Freeze it for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the disc from the plastic wrap and roll it on a floured surface.
  • Roll until the disc is 1/8 inch thick.
  • Cut small cookies of desired shapes. 
  • Cut a small hole in the middle of half of those cookies.
  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Transfer the cookies to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden from the edges.
  • Let the cookies cool, then spread Nutella on the cookies without a hole.
  • place the cookies with holes on top. 
  • Sprinkle with some powdered sugar and serve.
