Cutout Nutella sandwich cookie
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Butter, Room temp
- 2 Cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/8 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Cup Nutella
Direction:
- In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar.
- Mix egg, salt, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated
- Add Flour and fold it in until dough forms.
- Roll into a ball and flatten into a disc, inside a plastic wrap.
- Freeze it for 30 minutes.
- Remove the disc from the plastic wrap and roll it on a floured surface.
- Roll until the disc is 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut small cookies of desired shapes.
- Cut a small hole in the middle of half of those cookies.
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Transfer the cookies to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden from the edges.
- Let the cookies cool, then spread Nutella on the cookies without a hole.
- place the cookies with holes on top.
- Sprinkle with some powdered sugar and serve.
