Indian Pav (Bread)

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 Cup Warm Milk
  • 2 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Pack Active Dry Yeast
  • 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Butter Softened

Direction:

  • In a bowl combine 1 cup milk with yeast and sugar mix well and rest for 5 minutes.
  • Mix Flour and salt to the yeast mix.
  • Knead for some time then add 1/4 cup milk.
  • Knead the dough for 10 minutes or until the dough turns soft.
  • Add the butter and knead until the butter is properly combined. 
  • Tuck the dough and place in a bowl, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and rest for 1 hour.
  • The dough should double in size. punch the dough then cut into 12 equal pieces. 
  • Grease the baking tray with butter.
  • Take each dough piece and make a ball, make sure to tuck the dough so there are no scars. 
  • Place each ball into the tray leaving some space between them.
  • Brush some milk on the dough and cover with plastic wrap and rest for 20 mins
  • Preheat oven to 360° F 
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown from top. 
  • Spread some butter on the bread once they are out of the oven,
