Ginger Bread Cookies

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter ( Room Temp)
  • 1 1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/3 Cup Molasses
  • 2 Large Egg ( Room Temp)
  • 2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Ground Ginger
  • 2 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Ground Allspice
  • 1 Tsp Ground Cloves
  • Cookie Icing 

    Direction:
    • In a large bowl beat the butter until it's completely smooth.
    • Add brown sugar and molasses until fully combined and creamy looking.
    • Beat in the Eggs and Vanilla.
    • In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. 
    • Slowly combine the flour mix into the butter mixture.
    • The Dough will be thick and sticky, divide the dough into 4 pieces.
    • turn each dough into a disc shape and let it chill for a few hours.  
    • Pre Heat oven to 350° F and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
    • Roll each disc on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thick. cut into shapes and place on cookie sheets 1 inch apart.
    • Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes.
