Black Bean Patty

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cans of Black Beans Rinsed and Drained
  • 1 Cup Cooked Quinoa
  • 1/2 Cup Onions Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Green Pepper Chopped
  • 3 Cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 Tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 Tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/4 Tsp Chili Powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Directions:

  • In a large bowl add all the ingredients except for olive oil.
  • Use a fork or potato masher to mash the beans and ingredients to desired texture
  • Mix everything properly and form patties of the desired size. 
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil at medium-high heat. 
  • Cook patties in batches for around 5-6 minutes on each side.
  • Serve the patties on toasted buns with Fiery Fruit Salsa, and Cheese.
