Irish Soda Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 Cup Buttermilk

Directions:

  • Pre-Heat oven to 425 F.
  • In a bowl whisk together, 2 1/2 cup flour, salt, soda.
  • Add Buttermilk and mix until a dough forms.
  • Dust a flat surface with some of the flour.
  • Transfer the dough to the surface and knead the dough.
  • Add the remaining dough a little at a time.
  • The dough should be firm and not sticky.
  • Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or cast-iron skillet.
  • Dust with flour on top and make an X on top of the dough.
  • bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
