Salsa Roja

Ingredients:

  • 4 Large Tomato
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 Medium Onion
  • 4 Cilantro
  • 3 Serrano Chilies
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 Tbsp Oil

Directions:

  • Cut tomatoes in half and remove green part.
  • Peel garlic and onions skin.
  • Deseed and cut chilies lengthwise.
  • Massage some oil around all these vegetables and place on baking sheet.
  • Broil these for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly charred.
  • Let them cool and transfer to blender.
  • Add Cilantro and salt
  • Blend on high until smooth.
  • Adjust Salt based on taste.

Notes:

  • Use Jalapeno for slightly less spicy salsa & Habanero for a Spicer salsa.
