Ingredients:
- 14 Tbsp Butter
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 1/8 Tsp All-Spice
- 2 Large Eggs
- 6 Tbsp Milk
- 1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1 Large Apple, Peeled and sliced 1/4 Inch slices
Directions:
- Pre-Heat oven to 350 F.
- In a saucepan heat up 6 Tbsp of Butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
- Melt the butter and cook the mixture until it slightly thickens.
- Turn of the heat then add 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and All-spice.
- Transfer the mix to a cake pan or 4 ramekins.
- Arrange apple slices on top of the mix and cover most of the pan.
- Refrigerate the pan for 15 minutes.
- In a bowl cream rest of the butter using a whisk.
- Add rest of the brown sugar and granulated sugar and mix.
- Add eggs, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl whisk together, flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
- Add milk and mix until just combined. Don't Over mix
- Make sure there are no lumps.
- Pour the cake mix into pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes and cover with foil halfway through baking.
- Check with toothpick and make sure it comes out clean when inserted in center.
