Rugelach

Ingredients :

  • 8 Oz Cream Cheese
  • 8 Oz Butter, room temp
  • 1/4 Cup sugar
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Raisins
  • 1 Cup Walnut, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Rasberry jam
  • 1/4 Cup Egg Wash
  • 1/4 Cup Cinnamon Sugar

Directions :

  • Cream together cheese and butter in a bowl.
  • Add sugar, salt, and vanilla until fully combined.
  • Add flour and mix until just combined.
  • Roll the dough on a floured surface.
  • Divide the dough into 4 pieces and flatten it into disks.
  • Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for an hour.
  • Remove the dough pieces and roll them into 9-inch circles.
  • Spread raspberry jam on them then sprinkle walnuts, raisins, brown sugar, and some cinnamon sugar on them.
  • Cut them into 12 equal pieces ( Pizza Slices) 
  • Roll each slice from wide edge to end.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • brush each cookie with egg wash then sprinkle leftover cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 Minutes or until lightly browned.
